Many ambitious people notice something strange.
When they stop working, something inside them doesn’t stop. Rest triggers tension. Stillness can feel uneasy. Productivity brings relief. Most ambitious people were never taught how to work with the tension that appears when they slow down. Grounded Ambition teaches simple, practical ways to relate to that inner tension so rest and drive stop competing.
Why I created this course
For years, rest made me anxious. From working in high-performance environments to building my own business, I carried the constant sense that I should always be productive. Not because I didn’t need rest, but because I felt guilty about enjoying it. I’d go on a trip and spend the whole time wanting to get back to my to-do list, while also feeling frustrated that I couldn’t simply enjoy being away. What changed wasn’t a better routine or improved self-management. My ambition didn’t disappear. Neither did my need for rest. What changed was learning a way of relating to inner tension that I’d never been taught. As I developed a new relationship with the parts of me that believed productivity kept me safe, rest became something I could allow, and eventually enjoy. Since then I’ve worked with founders, creatives, and professionals navigating the same tension between ambition and rest. Grounded Ambition is the distillation of that shift. It draws from years of lived experience, coaching, somatic practice, and parts-based work with people just like you navigating the relationship between rest and ambition. All of that has been condensed into a simple, accessible course designed to meet you where you are.
What becomes possible
When the tension between rest and productivity stops running automatically, something important changes: rest becomes something you can actually enjoy, without guilt. Work becomes something you choose, rather than something you feel pushed into. Instead of an ongoing tug-of-war inside, you begin to experience: • clearer signals about when to work and when to rest • less insistent pressure to always be productive • more trust in your own internal guidance • ambition that comes from inner alignment instead of force Grounded Ambition teaches the skills that make this shift possible.
